Description
Rear Left 350x24mm brake rotor with cross-drill pattern, floating central hub, and anti-rust coating for 2008-2013 E90/E92/E93 M3 and 2011 E82 1M.
Cross-drilled rotors are used mostly to enhance the performance aesthetic of your car. Slotted or blank rotors have greater capacity to store heat so we prefer those for track and racing use. Cross-drilled rotors still have their place as a design that looks great with no detrimental effects under normal street use. Many sports car manufacturers still use drilled rotors because of their sporty looks while knowing they don’t lose any effectiveness during normal driving. The holes into the vanes do offer an advantage in wet conditions where the water has an easy escape from the rotor surface. StopTech Drilled rotors are made using Centric High Carbon blank rotors. A black electrostatic coating is applied to prevent rust on the brake hat and vanes. The entire rotor is coated, followed by CNC double-disc grinding and drilling of the friction surface and final computer balancing.
Price is per rotor. Photo is for reference but is representative of what you will receive.
This StopTech rotor is a 2-piece iron disc with a ‘floating’ steel center hat. The factory BMW rotor is a 2-piece iron disc with an aluminum hub. BMW advertised the lighter weight as a way of lowering emissions and improving fuel economy. There is likely no performance difference between them but the StopTech will be slightly heavier compared to stock. We also offer the Original BMW rotors if you wish to keep the lighter two-piece design.
